LSKDFJ OH MY GOSH I AM SO SORRY I DIDN'T REPLY SOONER, WAS OUT ALL DAY YESTERDAY ;__; ALSO HOLYCRAP THAT LOOKS AMAZING WAH it has your own style flair to it AND I LOVE IT SDLFKJ WAH THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME ;__;
I love your tutorial, but I'm a bit lost when it comes to the shading. I copied your brush settings, but my shades end up flat instead of blended as yours do (like on the chest). How do you achieve this, can you make a short video/speedpaint?
Can you show me a screenshot, please? Occasionally I'll use the blur tool to blend in the colors if it comes out too rough, but using the Brush tool to color usually does the trick. I'll definitely try to do a speedpaint, but I usually get distracted so it takes me longer than it should to do a drawing. ;__;
Hmm, I guess the coloring on my skin is a lot softer than what I do. I usually draw on a big canvas so when I resize, it looks a lot smoother than it really is. Also, the color choice might have something to do with it. I use really saturated colors. Hope that helps! I'm not very good on giving art advice or critiques. ;__;
I'm glad it was helpful! Here are my settings: [link]
I didn't really mess with the advanced settings, so these are the default settings I use for lineart. Sometimes I use the Pen tool to lineart, which gives more solid lines, but you have to be more precise with the pen tool. I also use the brush tool at times too, but it makes coloring more difficult. The acrylic tool is a perfect balance of the two~
WAH thank you! I'm glad it helped! I actually considered doing cell-shading for this since my coloring style would require a tablet that has good pressure sensitivity. But there's just too many cell-shading tutorials out there and not enough cell-shaded drawings in my gallery LMAO.
Well if I can make something semi-good out of it, then I think you've made it idiot proof, cuz me+computer art+ colors= world disaster LOL. I'll have to give it a try after work, kind of excited to try~
